Mississippi’s Crisis Stabilization Unit provides stabilization and treatment services to persons who are in a psychiatric crisis. Individuals can receive involuntary and voluntary treatment at a Crisis Stabilization Unit. After treatment, patients will be connected with their local Community Mental Health Center. The mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is to improve the quality of life of persons living with serious mental illness along with their friends and families. NAMI Mississippi is made up of family members, peers, behavioral health professionals and friends working to accomplish that mission through mutual support, education, advocacy and research.
